Our volunteers are working through a lot of trees so we cannot guarantee a time or date. If your tree hasn’t been collected by the end of the weekend, please send a picture of your tree to treecycling@diverseabilities.org.uk before the end of the day on Monday 11th January so our sweep up run can collect it.
-
On the evening of Tuesday 5th January. Don't worry, we’ll send a text to remind you.
-
There’s no need to be in, just ensure that your tree is visible from the road. If it will be placed elsewhere, then please specify this on your booking form so our volunteers know where to look. If we can’t find your tree then we may give you a call, so please do make sure you can be contacted. Any inaccessible trees cannot be collected or refunded.

Trees should be visible from the road, but if this is not possible, please specify on your booking form. If we can’t find your tree then we may give you a call, so please do make sure you can be contacted. Any inaccessible trees cannot be collected or refunded.

Big trees should be cut in half if possible, and we request an extra donation is provided as we will need to consider capacity when route planning. Not all volunteers have the tools available to trim a tree.
Some trees are incredibly wide, and this means they take up more space! If you can help us by cutting your tree down, then we can provide a quicker and more efficient collection. If volunteers need to cut your tree down to fit it in their van, they will need to consider this with their route planning and time management.

We would love to collect over the whole of Dorset, but unfortunately there are several factors that prevent us from doing so. The main restriction is recruiting enough volunteers to give up their time and vehicles to collect the trees.
Each year we recruit approximately 50 volunteers and 20 vans, allowing us to collect up to 2,000 trees in the local area. Our volunteers typically work six to eight hours a day and can collect up to 60 trees in this time. The more volunteers that sign up, the wider our collection area.
We want our volunteers to enjoy the experience and we feel that by extending our collection area would be too much of a stretch.
If you'd like to volunteer next year, please contact us at treecycling@diverseabilities.org.uk

If your tree has not yet been collected, we do apologise for the delay. If it has not been collected by Monday 12th January, please contact treecycling@diverseabilities.org.uk with a picture of your tree by Monday 11th January at 5pm. It will then be included in our sweep up run.
If we have not been alerted by this point, we will not be able to collect your tree.
-
If you alert us of your cancellation before 1st January, we can offer you a full refund. If you cancel after this date, we will be unable to cancel your order and will not be able to offer you a refund.
-
You can book up to ten trees on one form and can make additional bookings. If you have only booked one tree, please do not leave additional trees as we will not have space in our vans!
-
The Treecycling service is organised and managed by Diverse Abilities. It is a complex and time-consuming operation to manage. Your £10 suggested donation goes directly to the charity, Diverse Abilities supports children and adults with disabilities in Dorset.
If you would like your tree collected without making a donation, please click here to email the team and arrange your collection.

Tree bookings are collected online and are managed by a small team of staff. These are collated, managed into routes and allocated to volunteers.
This year we are kindly sponsored by Waste Management Facilities. We are also supported by Eco Sustainable Solutions.
